CAMPINAS, Brazil – Aviagen® Latin America looks forward to the International Poultry and Swine Exhibition (SIAVS), which takes place Aug. 9-11, at Anhembi Parque, in São Paulo (SP), Brazil. Visitors to booth 94 will be warmly greeted by the Aviagen Sales and Customer Service team, where they will talk about the qualities of the Ross 308 AP that are suited to Latin American growers, as well as the company’s commitment to “Breeding for welfare and sustainability.”
“SIAVS presents an ideal opportunity to meet with customers and our colleagues in the poultry production chain, exchanging ideas and knowledge on current hot topics, and strengthening our great business alliances. We are excited to discuss with them our recent Latin America investments and efforts toward sustainable poultry production,” commented Ivan Pupo Lauandos, President of Aviagen Latin America. “We thank the Brazilian Poultry Association (ABPA) for organizing this popular event in the Brazilian and South American poultry scene.”
Aviagen specialists will engage with the SIAVS audience on two important topics: Poultry management without antimicrobials and leveraging incubation data to improve bird welfare and quality.
Effective management without antimicrobials
The conversation on antimicrobial use in poultry farm management is gaining in importance in Latin America and worldwide. On Aug. 10 at 11 am during the FACTA Symposium Panel, Aviagen Latin America’s Mário Sérgio Assayag Júnior, Veterinarian and Technical Support Manager, will share his expertise on effective flock management that prevents the need for antimicrobials.
Enhancing incubation performance
Aviagen makes considerable investment in research and development, and the company’s strategy and management advice is founded in data. On Aug. 10 at 11:30 am, Regional Supervisor of Technical Services for Aviagen Brazil and Incubation Specialist Felipe Kroetz Neto will show how data and research-based management advice improves chick quality, health and welfare as early as the incubation phase.
