Ross customers are recognized for their exceptional broiler and breeder performance at awards dinner
Edinburgh, Scotland. – Pure Breed, the Ross® Parent Stock (PS) distributor for Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States and Yemen, held a dinner during the VIV MEA show in Abu Dhabi on November 24, to celebrate the 140 and 400 Club members.
The Clubs are a well-received Aviagen® initiative and reward growers who through expert flock management and diligence attain record performance. The Ross 400 Club recognizes producers who score a European Product Efficiency Factor (EPEF) of 400 or more with their broiler flocks. Ross 140 Club members are distinguished by a breeder performance of 140 or more chicks per hen housed at 60 weeks.
There were a total of 13 customers from Saudi Arabia, Yemen and the Gulf States present at the dinner. Ross performance is continuously improving in every breeder and broiler flock and this was clear from the number of awards that were given out during the dinner. There were a total of 13 400 Club awards and 49 140 Club awards given out to customers.
Mr. Zaheer Mehmood, General Manager of Live Production - Tanmiah Foods Group commented, “Our breeder and broiler farms have achieved outstanding performance over the past few years. In the last two years, 24 of our breeder farms gained entry into the Ross 140 Club, including Shaqra breeder farm which has achieved 171.2 chicks at 60 weeks. 13 of our broiler farms gained entry into the Ross 400 Club including Farah broiler farm which has achieved an EPEF of 456. These results are due to the continuous support from Tanmiah Management, the Production Teams, Pure Breed and Aviagen’s hard work and commitment. We would like to thank Pure Breed and Aviagen for their support and we hope to further strengthen our cooperation in the future to assist in achieving Saudi Arabia’s 2030 vision of becoming self-sufficient in poultry production.”
